User Experience Designer

The National Democratic Training Committee is a not-for-profit political start-up with with a mission to help real people change the world by teaching them how to run for office and impact their communities for good.  

We are looking for a talented UX Designer to help us innovate to create critical training and education for Democratic candidates at scale.

As a UX Designer you will be responsible for creating useful, usable, and delightful experiences for democratic candidates, staff, and volunteers. You will cover the full UX lifecycle including strategy, research, design, and evaluation.

On a daily basis you will be collaborating with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create online and live training experiences as well as online access to courses and other content. This includes creating User Journeys, Personas, Site-Maps, Flows, Information Architecture, Wireframes, Mock-ups, and Prototypes.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction or related field.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a UX Designer.

  • Working and theoretical knowledge of the fundamentals of UX design and research.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a diverse, passionate, and fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating.

  • Interest in and passion for supporting progressive politics.

Application Process

Salary is commensurate with experience, with a range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year. NDTC offers a strong benefits package including health insurance with the employee premium paid in-full by NDTC, a 10% employer match on contributions to 401(k), and a flexible paid time off policy.
